Ruth
Jansa -started teaching in 2000. She was first got into Yoga after a major injury to her lower spine. After deciding not to have back surgery, she knew she needed something to strengthen her back muscles. Ruth also realized that aerobics, weightlifting, and even walking exercises were not possible for her at the time. She was fortunate enough to find a Yoga instructor, Shannon Pott-Hickey of Rolling Hills Yoga, that was able to work with her and her back problems.
Ruth wanted to show people than you do not have to "kill yourself to get back into shape". Yoga is a gentle way to start listening to your body. So, she started Yoga On The Go" in 2000 in small communities east of Austin.
Ruth, in her
many years teaching yoga has introduced people, from all
spectrums of health, including those with medical conditions
such as MS, scoliosis, various back problems, POTS, chronic
fatique, and fibromyalgia, to yoga.
